Oooh, I love when I can find a sweet set of forks and knives - bonus when they are still in their original box! Here are 6 forks and 6 knives.
These are lovely detailed steel with bakelite handles. Common in both France and England, they were produced in the beginning of the 1900s until just after WW11. Bakelite is a resin that is super strong and resistant, creating a hardworking and resilient product.
Used as fish knives and forks, vintage cutlery was plentiful with countless pieces for very specific reasons. I would happily use them as everyday pieces.
Note, I have not cleaned the steel, so you might choose to clean them as some pieces have darkened over time.
Do not place in the dishwasher - wash by hand!
Comes in the original box.
Sourced in the Yorkshire Dales.
