Southern England | Limited to a small group
If you love old things, you belong here.
This fall, join me in the south of England for a curated antiques buying trip designed for sellers, designers and collectors who feel the pull of history and want to source in a setting as meaningful as the pieces themselves.
The English countryside is extraordinary this time of year. Reds and golds line the hedgerows. Late blooms soften the fields. The air turns crisp and the light settles into something warm and golden. You’ll stay in country inns, enjoy memorable meals in cozy pubs and experience England at its most charming. Mornings are unhurried (except for one), days are full and every winding country lane feels like a story waiting to unfold.
We begin in carefully chosen market towns known for their antique shops and independent dealers. These are places where you can take your time, open drawers, ask questions and discover pieces that rarely make it into larger, more commercial settings. We step into private dealer spaces and behind-the-scenes rooms for access to stock not sitting in shop windows.
From there, the experience builds with a seasonal Brocante event at a stately home, and towards one of the largest and most impressive antiques fair in Europe. 1700+ dealers from across the UK and the continent gather in one place, offering an extraordinary range of antiques from furniture, art, architectural and decorative objects. It's a treasure hunter’s landscape, layered, lively and full of possibility.
Each day brings something new. Quiet countryside roads. Pretty villages. Independent shops. A pretty Brocante in a breathtaking environment. A grand fair day. Evenings spent resting and reflecting in authentic surroundings, old beams, warm hearths and woolen chairs.
Throughout the trip, you’ll have guidance on negotiation, pricing and sourcing tailored to your goals. Whether you’re buying for your business or your own collection, this experience will deepen how you see and source antiques.
This is not about perfection. It’s about rolling up your sleeves, digging in and uncovering something meaningful. An experience that stays with you long after the adventure ends.
Just get here and I'll take care of the rest!
Please note:
Guests arrange their own travel to and from England and travel insurance. Introductions to trusted UK shipping partners are provided, if needed.
Who It’s For
This trip is for those who feel the pull of history in every worn handle and weathered patina. It is for the vintage reseller who wants to buy abroad with confidence, the designer seeking one-of-a-kind pieces for clients and the collector who loves the thrill of the hunt.
No prior experience is needed. Just curiosity, comfortable shoes and an eye for beauty.

Feeling so happy as I return home from a memorable trip with Kathy from Atelier. I have no words that match these feelings, just to say this was a gift of epic proportions.

Markets and villages require steady walking, often on uneven surfaces like cobblestones or grass fields. Comfortable footwear is essential.

Yes. The coordination, cost and responsibility of this rental will be yours, if this is your choice. Ground transportation is included in your ticket, however, we recognize if you are extending your stay, it's often easier to rent a car for the entire trip.
Many people bring an extra suitcase inside their travel suitcase to transport treasures back home. For those wishing to purchase more than that, we can connect you to our trusted shipping partner. Just advise Kathy after you secure your seat and she will make the connection for you!
This is what makes the difference! Our trips are designed for small group settings of 4 - 6 guests per trip. We prioritize connection, support and guidance.
Deposits are non-refundable. The remaining balance is due 60 days before travel and becomes non-refundable at that time, unless your place can be filled by another guest. Because these trips are booked far in advance with accommodation and vendor commitments, flexibility is limited, so travel insurance is essential.
Each day starts with breakfast. We’ll visit the main fair or selected dealers, explore nearby shops or towns, and enjoy the English countryside. Evenings are for good food and time to spend as you please. The pace is intentional, with time to soak in the charm of the countryside and the joy of the hunt.
