This picture depicts MALUS DOMESTICA ROSACEAE FAMILY, considered one of the oldest recorded varieties (1700s) still cultivated in England today. The Cathead apple, painted in 1851 records the look and shape of this variety. A cooking apple with angular shape some say resembles the head of a cat.

A perfectly preserved painting, this would look great in the kitchen.
