SLOW DÉCOR FOR AN INTENTIONAL LIFESTYLE.

A lovely and rare, antique 19th century French confit pot with mustard yellow glaze from the South of France. This pot is hand thrown with charming handles known as 'ears'. These jars were used for storing and preserving cooked meat - the unglazed area of the pot was typically buried and the line between unglazed and glazed is the soil line, keeping the contents cool!

A very desirable piece of home decor and much sought after these days due to it's beauty, history, story and texture. Chips, cracks and glaze peel are all normal wear and tear. This pot is in excellent condition for it's age and has three holes on the bottom where someone has used it as a planter.

No piece exudes as much charm as antique French pots!

It displays beautifully, perfect with a bouquet of flowers or used in the kitchen to hold utensils. It would also look fabulous in a grouping with other confit pots of various sizes.

Top opening 16 cm diameter. 25 cm tall. 19 cm wide.

Sourced in Provence, France.

Please be advised that all items in our Vintage Collection are second-hand pieces with a previous life. All cosmetic marks, stains, bumps and signs of wear are part of the natural character and beauty of vintage pieces.
