SLOW DÉCOR FOR AN INTENTIONAL LIFESTYLE.

A gorgeous dark brown with salt glaze cheese mould, called a Faiselle.

Made of earthenware and constructed by hand in the 1900s, a faiselle is most commonly identified by having holes in the pottery. These pieces of French pottery were used to make cheese, and the holes were used to separate the cheese from the whey.

This faiselle is different from the typical model as it has a pedestal bottom. It would be great to store garlic or ginger, or Atelier it with a savon de Marseille soap and brush, giving it a permanent place next to your sink!

This faiselle measures 15 cm D x 8 cm H.

Sourced in the Loire, France.

Please be advised that all items in our Vintage Collection are second-hand pieces with a previous life. All cosmetic marks, stains, bumps and signs of wear are part of the natural character and beauty of vintage pieces.
