Traditional Provence Panier à œufs

A darling petite egg basket! How sweet with an intricate diamond weave on both sides. The high walls keep the eggs in, so French!

This typical basket was used by French peasants and farmers of Provence for carrying eggs.

There are some normal signs of the old age but the basket is usable and very solid because the strong wood inside the handle makes the round tour of the structure and supports it.

The basket measures 21 cm x 14 cm x 20 cm.
