Our linen grain sack table runner is made from 100% linen grown in France, woven in one of the last surviving family-run linen mills in Ireland, and hand sewn in Ireland and Australia.

Our female-own and run partner is inspired by the classic French farmer’s ‘grain sack’ stripe. We’re dedicated to ensuring the family tradition of the striped linen grain sack once utilised by grain farmers throughout Europe to identify their family’s grain at market – and now highly sought-after by home wares and textile lovers – lives on. This linen is…

  • 100% certified French flax (flax is the plant from which linen is made)
  • 100% certified Irish woven linen
  • Hand cut and sewn
  • Ethically produced
  • Small production runs
  • Soft, washed linen
  • Eco-conscious

The highest quality flax plants and the highest quality linen are grown and made in Western Europe. Our flax is grown in France and linen is made in Ireland making it the finest quality linen in the world – you will love the difference in the look, feel, weight and longevity of these pieces.

This table runner is a product of centuries-old French and Irish linen artisanry. With French seams along the length and a raw finish on the ends, it suits every farmhouse, rustic, coastal, boho, and French provincial table setting. The textured, soft linen is visually reminiscent of antique grain sacks and is 100% natural with a heavy weave and a textural slub. The brand insignia 17ème siècle “17th Century” sewn like a mending patch, represents the official date and formal beginning of the Irish linen trade led by French linen master, Louis Crommelin, in the late 1600’s. The patch is a signifier of the linen’s quality and provenance.
