Oh my, what a beautiful piece of ironstone! A piece, circa 1898 - 1910. This is a Ford and Sons large platter in a creamy white with a blue floral transfer ware patter. Comes complete with the trademark stamp (a bee) with "Ontario", which is the pattern design and then, the maker: Ford and Sons Crown Pottery, Burslem.

The crown pottery closed its doors around 1930.

On researching this platter, we found the Ontario pattern was produced in a pink pattern, so finding it in this lovely muted blue makes it so much more special!

A lovely Victorian piece, perfect for any table or wall! Ford and Sons was manufactured in Stoke-on-Trent, known for their earthenware, porcelain and ironstone crockery.

This large platter would make a statement piece in your dining/kitchen decor, table top or for your next special meal.

The platter is 42 x 30cm, and in excellent condition.

Sourced at a market in Yorkshire, England.
