This is a stunning, English watercolour from 1901, signed and dated by the artist. It is shown in a worn gilt moulding.

This piece is incredible! It depicts the beautiful and rugged historic coastline of Yorkshire. An area of natural beauty by the Moors and Whitby, steeped in history for a thousand years where Normans, Romans and Germans landed. A beautiful use of colour creates a serene and moody scene - the artist was very talented!

Please note, Atelier recommends replacing the moulding with a frame and glass to protect this piece. The current moulding has some tears due to the age. The painting is in excellent condition!
